Spiritual Disciplines Lead to Holy Habits
/The month of November has flown by, and we are just days away from Thanksgiving. Every year, during the month of November, I intentionally focus on gratitude, and honestly, I do see the difference it makes in me.
Gratitude truly changes my attitude which just further proves to me that spiritual disciplines do lead to holy habits.
Discipline is hard, but so are the consequences of being undisciplined. We choose our hard. One leads to blessing and benefits, the other to folly and failure.
Intentionality is the key that unlocks possibility. It won’t ever happen if you never start, but when you see the benefits of simply starting a spiritual discipline, you’ll want to stay the course to see it become a holy habit.
I’m not sure where you’ve been, where you are, or where you want to be spiritually, but I can assure you that when you seek God with your whole heart, you will find Him, and you’ll be found in Him, which will change you, one holy habit at a time.
Advent is upon us (it starts just three days after Thanksgiving), and it’s a perfect time to practice intentionality.
And it’s the perfect time to be part of the 2025 NEAR Advent Devotional Online Community.
Intentionality + accountability = consistency
I love knowing others are weighing in each day with what they are learning and how God’s Word is speaking to them and deepening their faith. It keeps me invested and intentional.
When I see God more clearly, I want to seek Him more sincerely, I grow to love Him more dearly, and I long to keep walking with Him more nearly.
The things we do consistently become the things we do habitually.
Spiritual disciplines lead to holy habits.
